I don’t get it. Don’t the gas companies have enough of our money without taking more and more every day? I swear you go to bed and wake up in the morning and gas has gone up anywhere from 2 cents a gallon to up to 12 cents a gallon. Someones pocket is being padded big time to allow this to continue.
Did I tell you about this web page I found that can help a little. All you have to do is put in your zip code and it will tell you which gas station has the lowest prices in your area. Before you leave for work, school or where ever, check the list to see who has the cheapest prices. Go to http://autos.msn.com/everyday/everyday.aspx then click on gas prices, put in your zip code and there is a map with all the gas stations, a list of the gas stations, brands, prices, and even the addresses of them. At least someone is trying to help us find gas a little cheaper because the oil companies sure aren’t.
What is Passover Sunday celebrated for? I’m not sue because it’s another of those religious holidays I don’t know that much about. I think it has to do with when Moses wanted Egypt to let his people go so there were plagues sent. One was to kill the first born of all that did not put the blood of a lamb at or on their door. If the blood was there then the plague would ‘Passover’ that home and the first born son would be safe. I checked out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passover and I’ll be darned, I was right. I didn’t really think of it as a Jewish holiday but DU HUH, they were all Jews before Jesus came. Guess it paid to watch ‘The 10 Commandments’ with Charlton Heston, huh? I thought it was a great movie!!! Who ever said you can’t learn anything from a movie anyway?

I understand the whole concept of paying taxes but I have a problem with how the government uses it. Our country gives all sorts of foreign aid to all these countries when our schools are falling apart, people are homeless and hungry, children don’t have families and live in orphanages that don’t truly care for them (I’m sure not all of them are bad) and shouldn’t we be more concerned with our own before we take care of others? Ya think? I do.
There are so many empty buildings around here that businesses have built new, better buildings and left the old ones vacant. Why doesn’t someone go in and make affordable small apartments for the homeless, along with fast food restaurants or even a home style restaurant and something like thrift type stores that these people can work in to help pay for their places to live? They could even provide educational classrooms to help reeducate some of them so they can get a job and get out of the homeless shelters. Some of these buildings are even large enough to put in day cares to take care of the homeless kids so the parents can work. The people that live there would have to work so many hours in the day care, thrift store, or restaurant to help get some training and experience along with it helping cover their expenses on their little apartments. It could be done quite easily if the government would give some aid to us and acted like they cared just a little!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe someone needs to call Oprah or Bill Gates because they both do a lot to help others and besides, they have the money and knowledge to do something like that and show the government just how easy it might be to help our own before we try to help the world. I’m all for helping others but it should start here first.
April is one of those months when you are running around in your shorts because it’s warm and spring like one day and then old man winter reminds you that spring hasn’t sprung just yet and it’s back to long pants and a darn coat. It was a perfect day yesterday and today, but would you believe I think it even sleeted this morning? It’s enough to give you pneumonia. In fact, I bet the doctors will be making a killing this month already. I hate weather like this. You never know if you need a coat, or just a jacket. Oh well, hopefully it’ll be spring again soon.
Billy and I are going out to eat at Outback Steak House. I absolutely love their ‘bloomin onion’ and can make a meal off of just that. Did you know they have a gluten free menu for people that are allergic to wheat? My Mom’s allergic to it and I didn’t realize they had that at Outback. It’s about time more restaurants realize that people just might come to there restaurants if they offer special things like that. It’s really hard for us to go out to eat with Mom because of her allergies. The weird part about her allergies is she wasn’t allergic to anything until the beginning of March and then she went anaphylactic on us 5 times in just 3 days. Scared the bejeebies out of me. It took a long time but her allergy doctor said she’s allergic to about 35 things all of a sudden. We’ll talk about that later because i gotta get ready to go. Oh I forgot to tell you why we’re going out, we’ve been going together for 6 months today.
